Curriculum Features

The Department of Nursing offers a well-balanced and structured curriculum consisting of general education and major courses, including both required and elective, theoretical and practical subjects. The curriculum is designed to help nursing students develop the competencies necessary for professional nursing practice. Foundational courses in natural sciences and humanities/social sciences are included to enhance students’ understanding of humans and society. To graduate, students must complete at least 130 credits. This includes a minimum of 25 credits in general education (covering at least 4 out of 5 core liberal arts areas) and no more than 90 credits in major courses, including 28 credits from clinical practicum courses. Students are also required to complete 8 credits from humanities and social sciences within the foundational major courses.
